Drawing the cows at Cartmel Show, an extravaganza of farm animals, fancy pigeons, dogs and baking. The cows were paraded round surprisingly fast and I kept having to wait for them to come round again to finish each drawing. Sheep and dogs still to be scanned...
Halway up Coniston there is an abandoned copper mine with rusted rails twisting violently over the slate slag. Drawing with watercolour and materials found on the mountain - water from the tarn, charcoal fragments, coal, and rust scraped off the iron.
